Jag vaknar upp. Det är måndag morgon. Axlar och rygg är förstörda efter en hård helgs surfande. Huvudet är fullt av olika ekonomi termer då mina midterms är på gång under veckan. Det är fortfarande mörkt utanför och det regnar. Jag ligger kvar och drar mig i min säng. Många skulle nog inte kalla det säng kanske. Men för mig fungerar min 90 cm rosbeklädda madrass, liggande på golvet, som en säng. Min uppzippade sovsäck har halkat av mig och det är kallt i rummet. Då jag inte har handlat mat på två veckor går jag rakt in i duschen utanfrukost. Duschen ja. Glömmde bort att den har “slammat” igen och fyller uppbadkaret med vatten. Som tur är, är ju jag först i i duschen. 08.30 cyklar jag ner till skolan på min lånade damcykel. Påväg att möta min studygroup så stannar jag till på en av skolans caféterior. Köper mig en stor caffe och en “breakfeast burrito”. Första målet för dagen inhandlat, 6.25$.
Möter med min studygropup — går på lektion — går tillbaka till min studygroup — vi går tillsammans till våran ekonomi lektion och gör vårat middterm. Går över förväntan. Lätt att säga när man inte sätt resultatet än. Jag drar vidare till martin och vi gör min foto quizz som handlar om olika slutar tider. Vi funderar lite på hur vi skall lägga upp plugget inför nästa middterm som e pågång. Kommer inte riktigt fram till något och jag börjar cykla hemmåt. Jag innser att jag fortfarande inte har någon mat hemma. Efter ett mycket kort övervägande stannar jag till på TacoBell och inhandlar 3 cruncy tacos och en “5 layer burrito”, 4.75$.
När jag kommer hem är våran landlord i trädgården och meddelar att en “plumber” (rörmockar antar jag) skall komma och fixa våran dusch. Efter 20 minuter kommer plumbern. Det är en man i 40-50 års åldern. Hans ända redskap är en… ja vad heter det. Toa plugg. Vet inte vad det kalls. Plunger kallas det här iaf. Han går in på badrumet och meckar i drygt 2 minuter och kommer sedan ut och säger att det är klart. Lite hår i avloppen. Sedan spenderar han och våran 75 åriga landlord 10 minuter i vårat hus och diskuterar marijuana frågan. Det är ju tydligen ett nytt lagförslag pågång här. “Hel-ligalisering” av marijuana. Nu får man ju bara köpa det om man har ett “clubcard” eller ett så kallat “medical card”. Man kan imprincip gå till vilken doktor man vill och säga att man har svårt att äta eller sova så får man köpa ett medical card för dryga 90$ som varar ett år. Inte riktigt som i Sverige. I USA är alkohol absolut inte tillåtet innan man är 21 men röka gräs går varannan 16 åring.
Efter att gubbarna har gått så lägger jag mig ner och sover på soffan. Vaknar upp med lite lätt ångest. Jag borde plugga! Sätter mig ner och drar igång med mina business studier. Kör på en stund och klockan närmar sig 19. Ryan är klar med sitt plugg och kommer ut och säger att han är sjukt hungrig. Jag har fortfarande ingen mat. Iaf ingen mat som inte är -19 grader. Ryan säger Subway, jag säger kör. Cyklar bort till Mesa center och beställer varsin footlong. 6,75$. Jag äter halva och sparar den andra till frölle.
Efter att ha pluggat en stund till så sitter jag nu med min dator och bloggar. Det blåser halvstorm utanför. Det jag ville komma fram till var inte marijuan frågan. Det blev bara ett litet sidospår. Hur ofta händer det i Sverige att enns rörmockare och hyresvärd kommer in på den frågan???? Det jag vill uppnå var att jag under en dag “åt ute” tre gånger på en dag och spenderade 17,75$. Det är typ 120 kr för. Jag skall hedan efter gefan i att laga mat!!! Det var min poäng med det hela.
Kom av mig lite i skrivande då dampbarnet Spencer slänger ut frågan om en kille kanske skall flytta in under en månad. Vi diskuterar det inte direkt och jag sitter och skriver och hör dampbarnet Spencer säga. ” Yooo Adam, Ill talked to Ryan and Basti and they say its okey.
